We greatly value young people at St Lawrence's and want them to feel a full

part of our church family. All are welcome at our services. For very young, pre-school age children, we provide activity/story sacks for use in church.

For primary school aged children, we run our popular Young Church sessions. These meet every Sunday in term time during the 10am service, except for the

third Sunday in the month when we hold a special family church celebration on Saturday evening at 6pm.

Sessions are planned by Young Church leaders and led by them with a great

team of regular volunteers. We follow the same themes and teachings as in

the adult service, using child centred Bible readings followed by themed craft /game activities to take home. Children are encouraged to explore and discuss ideas as a group in a supportive family style atmosphere.

Children begin the service in church with their family before moving to the young church session shortly afterwards. They return again to the main service after the session for the Eucharist/blessing with their family and will often excitedly share what they have done with the congregation!
